About Us
Our philosophy goes, "if you want something doing right...."! When Mick Arnold wrote A Game With Dice it was intended only as a memoir for his children, as he had seldom discussed his early years or his adventures leaving Poland at the start of the war.
As we read the book and our friends read it, it became increasingly clear that Dice had a wide appeal and that many people found the story interesting. So... we published it!
Of course we could not leave him alone and demanded to know the rest of the story; so he obliged by setting to and writing the second book.
Sadly this was all he could manage, and finally succumbed to illness a few months after presenting the manuscript for Their Manners Noted, as promised, for Wendy's birthday in June.
Mick Arnold was an extraordinary man with a fascinating tale to tell; our tribute to him is our publication of the two books he so generously gave to us, and our enduring memories.
We can be contacted by mail c/o our printers below, or you could use the contact form to send us an email.
Our Printer
We have found that self-publishing is an excellent way to go, especially if, like us, you do not want to wait for months or years before your manuscript becomes a book.
The key to self-publishing is to find a reliable, honest, top-quality printer, and we were lucky enough to do just that in Jonathan Harry of RPM in Chichester. If you want to know more about self-publishing, Jonathan will send you a free magazine which details major bookshop's views on self-published books, tells of the experiences of authors who have self-published, and provides helpful contact addresses and cautionary tales.
